D. CREWE'S WEEKLY REPORT.

On Wednesday, June 27th, 1 held the first annual clearing sale of Mr D. Nicholls' vehicles at tho factory. There was a good attendance of the public, but bidding was very glow. 1 only quitted some live vehicles, and the others did not reach the vendor's reserve. The following prices were obtained Drays, £8 to £l9; On Thursday, the 28th, I held a clearing sale at Mr W.Daldy's farm, Mnngatainoka. The sale consisted of household furniture,dairy utensils, cows and calves, Thero was a good attendance of the public,and bidding throughout was brisk. Everything sold at satisfactory prices. Dairy cows, £5 10s; calves, 7s Gd,

On Saturday, the 29th, I held my! usual foitniglitly horse sale at Paliialua. Several of the entries advertised, did not come forward, There was only a limited attendance, and bidding dragged throughout, which result in a limited amount of business being dono under the hammer. Former rates ruled throughout. After the horse sale, 1 held & sale of produce in the mart., Bidding was slack throughout, which resulted in a decline in last week's prices. I quote - Onions, jd per lb; potatoes, a rough sample, £2 7s Cd; better class, £2 los; fowls, Is each, I havo no improvement to report of the sales at the mart during the week. Supplies still exceed the demand, and vendors must ultimately submit to a reduction in prices. I have enquiries for poultry and cows' in full profit.
