Sydney, Jnly 1. At a meeting of Iho Freetradc Party, Mr Roid, the Premier, indicated tlio direction tho reform of the Legislative Council would take. Ho proposed to appoint a nominee chamber of GO members, IS! retiring every liftli year, but eligible for re-election, In the event of a conflict between the Lower House and tho the matter in dispute would be referred to the Referendum.
