Messrs R. E. Mornblow and Co., auctioneers and produce merchants, report as follows for the week ending Saturday, Jnue 29th:--Owing to the severity of the weather during the week, business has been somewhat slack at our Masterton roomc. There is little or no alteration to report in prices of produce. Flour is steadily advancing in price, and as the wheat market is going up, highor rates may be expected. Contrary to expectation, our last week's sale of oats wore small, although southern lines have gone up considerably. Potatoes show a slight advance. The demand for fruit trees is fairly satisfactory, and we have quitted a large number during the week. Our weekly consignment of cabbages from the Lower Valley iind a ready market, the bidding being very spirited at times between Europeans and Chinamen. The demand for poultry is very good just now. Eggs show a falling off in value; butter remains at last week's quotations. Our horse sale dravr|a large number of people. Most of the prices entered were from the Hawke's Day district, and realised on the whole fairly renumerative prices.
