AN UNPLEASANT SITUATION.

It is believed that a waterspout ■ broke oil the hills in tho Goldeu Bay District, and a dam formod by a slip, gave way, and the debris ■ carried Mr Winter's nine roomed house with it. Mis Winter and her daughter ran from tha houso, the former being struck by the corner of the building, but her daughter raised her, and they ran down tho paddock. Before reaching the gato the dobris overtook them, and Mrs Winter was thrown against the gate. She is much bruised but not much hurt. Other damago is reported in the district. • ]
