GREYTOWN NOTES.
From Our Own Correspondent, TCESDAT. Tho weather during the past fow days, has been exceptionally cold, The Tararuasare thickly coated with snow, If the Borough Council were to pay a little more attention to Main Street, instead of devoting so much time on streets that do not require attention, it would give more satisfaction to tho bulk of ratepayers. The Mormons held a service in the Fire Brigade Hall, last Sunday afternoon.
The Juvenile Oddfellows hold a social this week, and judging by the way the Committee of Management are working, a successful affair may be anticipated. * It is a pity that the Borough' ranger does not look after stray cattle and horses a little more. These animals aro allowed to wander in all directions without the slightest notice being taken of them. During tho past' few days the ! footpaths in tho business portion of the town have been in a disgraceful state, and should be remedied by the Counoil before the worst of the winter weather sets in. There would be some sense'inputting a thin coat, ing of and or gravelonthefooipaths in this portion of the town,
