D. CREWE'S WEEKLY REPORT

On Monday, June 10th, I held a clearing sale at Mr W. Bogle's farm, Pahiatua, The stock submitted, consisted of daily cows, horses, pigs, drays and farming implements. There was a good attendance of tho public, and the bidding for most lines was spirited, Dairy cows realised £4 6s to £6; store pigs, Gs to 7s; forward store pigs, 14s; aged draught horses, £11; hacks, £slos to £l2 ;| and all other lines were quitted at satisfactory prices. , ] On Wednesday, June 12th, I held;

a sale of dairy stock on Mr Reid's farm, Pahiatua, Owing to the late Joods the proprietor had lost a great ' Wuantity of grass and run short of Teed, therefore the cattle were shown at a great disadvantage, Dining tho early part of the day rain fell in torrents, and there was a limited attendance of the public. The following are the prices realised:— j Cows, £3 2s 6d to £slos, or an average of £4 4s per head; young heifers, £2 lis. On Saturday, Juno loth, I held j my usual fortnightly horse sale at Pahiatua. There was a fair attendance of the public. The quality of the horses was much better than that of last sale, Bidding was fairly good throughout, and I succeeded in selling all the entries except one under the hammer, and ultimately 1 sold that one privately, The following are the prices realised:—Good hacks, £6 to £7 15s; light hacks, £5 10s to £1; boy's pony,. £3 15s; old crooks, no demand. After the horse sale I submitted ■ several lines of produce. For potatoes and onions the demand was slack, and present stocks exceed the Remand. The following are the prices realised:—Potatoes, £2los to £3; onions: Idporlb; horse carrots, 3s per sack. Tho demand at the Mart during the week has shown a Blight improvement, last week's prices being fully maintained,
