Mouday, The social to welcomo His Lordship the Bishop of Wellington took place in St. Luke's Church Schoolroom last Saturday evening, a crowded attendance being present, The room was very prettily decorated for the purpose. The Bishop j created a very good impression among those present, and bis address was a pleasant one indeed. During the evening Miss 'fully and Mr Gant contributed a song each Mrs Knell, Miss Ella St. George and the Misses Roydhouse played a selection each on the piano. The Rev. S. J. Gibson aud Rowse were present. During the evening refreshments were handed round by the committee of the Ladies' Guild. Altogether tho affair was a most sociable aud enjoyable one.
