Our Wellington agents advise us that southern potatoes arc procurable on trucks at Wellington at the low figure of 37s 6d per ton. These prices are bound to affect the . local ([notations. We are kept well ' supplied with locally grown sorts, ; and although our weekly output is : extensive we have several months supplies on hand. Poultry was in poor demand on Saturday, this being attributed to the large number of sntries, there being no less than 180 head submitted. Horses were exceptionally hard to quit, Our general sale in the mart wasamost extensive one, and the building was crowded with buyers. Our land transactions during the week were satisfactory, and we hope to finally fix up the disposal of three largo lines at the beginning of the week. Our wholesale prices lire as follows: . Butter, b'd per lb; eggs, Is Cdper doz. Poultry: Fowls, Is Cd to 'As, for pure-bred poultry; ducks, 3s 3d per pair; turkeys, 'ls Oil; geese, 4s 9d to 5s 6'd. Produce: Oats and <M, same as' last week's quotations; potatoes, 50s to COs for local sorts. Horses: Hacks, £3 to £G 10s; harness do., £7 to £11; light draughts, £l2 to £l4a.Vehicles ranged from £4 to £ll.
