The Wellington representative team will be sent to Napier within a month if possible. In a football match at Greytown this afternoon Hung 100 and Ah Chong, two local Chinamen, are included in tho teams. A new club has been formed in South Wairarapa, called the Lowor Valley Hangers. H, Whincray is the captain. According to a piragrnph in Pa-slime the Secretary of tho English Rugby Union (Mr Rowland Hill) Ims written to the English county secretaries as follows My committee desire to ascertain whether any players in your county would be willing to be members of a team to play a series of matches in Australia. Of course, only out of pocket expenses would be paid. I am in no position, at present, to say whether such a tour will be undertaken, but if it is, the members of the team would leave Huglandin April or May, 18D5, and would probably be absent from the country about five months. Kindly at your earliest convenience, have this matter ventilated amongst tho players of your county."
Matarawa play Greytown first oil Saturday, and Kotahitanga tiy conclusions wit h the second. The Rival Football Club held their social and ball in Anderson's Hall, Eketahuna on "Wednesday, Bth May, 1895, There was a large attendance and tho committee are to be congratulated upon the excellent management. Nothing that would contribute to the pleasure of the company seemed to be overlooked. Songs wero contributed during the evening by the following Mrs Searl, Misses Sheen, Oorbett, and Gardner, and Messrs Greaney, Pallant, and Iggulden.
