Amongst other resolutions the following was carried unanimously, " That this Club is of opinion that the Government should at once come forward to assist sottlers wbo have suffered from damage caußed by tlio late heavy rains." A copy of this resolution has been sent to the Minister for Publio Works, also Wairarapa North County and Pahiatua County Councils, asking them to use their M endeavors to obtain assistance fiW the Government. T A hearty vote of thanks was accorded tlio ladies for their valuable help to the Club. The lii'st social is to be held on tbe Ist proximo.
