Ho was an industrious, steady man. Deceased leaves a wife and children. Ryder's dinner was usually taken to him at the wharf, and a messenger was sent to turn back the little girl who generally took :t, On tbis occasion the child came down by another way, missed the messenger, and met the procession carrying tho dead body of her father to the Casual Ward, A very pitiful scene followed, tho child being almost heartbroken,
