PURCHASE OF 10,000 ACHES AUTHORISED.

Ministers were engaged in Cabinet yesterday considering tho recommendations of the Land Purchase Boards of Auckland and Canterbury, Several estates in Canterbury situated between Temuka and Waikara, and one estate in the Auckland district situated between Whakafano and Euatoki, were recommended for acquisition, and in each case Cabinet approved of the recommendation. Negotiations will therefore bo opened up for the purchase of these estatos at tho prices suggested by the Land Purchase Boards.
