At a special meeting of the Tara-Htahi-Carterton Road Board on Saturday it was decided to raiso a special loan of £IOOO to repair tho damage done to the bridge at . Gladstone and at Kokotan. A special meeting of the ratepayers of No 8. Ward will be held to ask their consont. About 100 members, including tho band, took part in the Church Parade of the Carterton Friendly Societies yesterday. They attended service at St, Mark's, which was crowded.
