NEW PLYMOUTH BONDS.

THE HON. J, G.WARD INTERVIEWED. (Received April 12,11 a.m.) London, April 11. The Council of Foreign bondholders, headed by Sir J. Lubbock, interviewed the Hon, J. G. Ward on behalf of the New Plymouth bondholders, and requested that the Government should guarantee a loan. They threatened to stop the quotations of New Zealand loanß in the Exchange unless their demand were conceded. The Hon. Mr Ward, in reply, said the Government were unable to guarantee the loan, nor aid a private company in any way, whether its position was good or bad. Moreover, lie flouted the threat of the Council The New Plymouth bondholders have decided to again interview Mr Ward.
