Upper Jaueru Road Board.

ORDINARY MEETING.

The ordinary meeting of the above ' Board was held on April 6th. Present-The Chairman, Messrs J. Macßae, J. Miller, G. McKay, and ' J. P. Perry. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Correspondence was received from the Commissioner of Crown Lands, requesting statement of thirds and fourths received by the Board from f Ist April, 1891, to February 20th, ' 1895. < From Messrs Cockburn-Hood and < Walker, for tho Board to grant per- l mission for tho boundary gate ! between Bowlands and Glendonald, to be erected on the District Road at the Maori gardens, instead of its present position on the County Road. Mr Miller applied to the Board for their consent to a deviation from tho legalized line of road laid off; tbe proposed new line of road to commence at tho bridge near the Maori gardens, and join the surveyed line of road near Perry's boundary, Messrs Wilton Bros., applied for a culyert to be put in at the junction of their road. Mr Miller applied for a side cutting to be mado from the river by Bryant's to the school flat, It was resolved that the letters from tho Commissioner of Crown Lands be acknowledged.—That the consideration of the deviation of Mr 1 Miller's line of road, and altering the position of the boundarygatebetween . Bowlands and Glendonald stand over for a month,—That the culvert be put in for Messrs Wilton Bros.— That the side cutting to Bideford 1 school be made as soon as the pre- ! sent work of tbe roadman is com--1 pleted.—That tho Clerk write to the Mauiiceville Road Board suggesting; ' that their Board grant tho Upper 1 Taueru Road Board the sum of £5 1 towards repairs of that portion of the Wairere-Bideford line lying in • the Manriceville District. Tenders were received for the B Mangapuvapra Road as follows : ' Messrs McKee and O'Dowd, £489; Mr P. Lyons, £615; MrR. Manning, Ist mile, £240105. Tho tender e of Messrs McKee and O'Dowd was e accepted.
