NORTH WAIRARAPA BENEVOLENT SOCIETY.
MONTHLY MEETING.
The ordinary monthly meeting of the Trustees \yks held to-day. Present, Messrs R. T. Holmes (chairman), E. D. Dagg, U, Feist, W. IT. Beotham. The minutes of the previous meoting were read and confirmed. The action of the Chairman and Secretary in reference to casual cases was confirmed. The case of Martin Kinsella, 71 years of age was considered and as lie had friends in Auckland, who would assist him, his fare to there was paid. Another man named Hylands, 62 years of age, was granted 7s Gd per week temporarily. Mrs Tricker wrote thanking the Society for the assistance granted to her for tho past two years. The Rev. R. Wood wrote asking that tho Society pay rent for Daysh who had broken his leg, . The amount of 5s per week had; been allowed till the present meeting. The, Wanganni Society wrote, forwarding cheque, for £ls is 0d on account of the Williams family, From the Secretary of tlio • Old Men's Hone, stating that Mr. T, W. Shute had, been transferred to the Home for tho Aged aud Needy. ' It was resolved to continue the relief as before for tho current month. The Treasurer's statement showeda credit balance of £BO 5s Id, against which the accounts presented amounted to £44 IDs 7d.
The accounts 'presented were passed for payment and tho meeting adjourned.
