GREYTOWN NEWS
(From Our Own Correspondent), Tuesday.
The Rev. Mi Erwin, M.A., of Christclmrch, conducted the services in the Presbyterian Church, on Snnday last, th ere beinggoodatteudances at both services. In the afternoon the rev. gentleman addressed the Sunday School cliildren,tlie scholars of the Wesloyan Sunday School together with their teachers were also present; Last night the annual social in connection with the Presbyterian Church took place in the Foresters' Hall, there being a good attendance present in spite of the inclemency of the weather. The Eev. Cbas. Murray presidedand introduced the speakers. The Revs. Wood (Masterton), J. Lymburn (iiartinborongh), Gibson (Wesleyan, Greytown), and Erwin, M.A. (Christcliurcli), briefly addressed the meeting. Songs were rendered by visitors from Masterton and Wailiakeke, and the choir rendered two anthems. Later on games, etc., wore iudulged in by those present, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Refreshments were handed round during the evening. The weather to-day is very cold.
About half-a-dozen of the excursionists to Wellington missed the return train to Greytown last Saturday.
