THE CHITRAL CAMPAIGN.

Calcutta, April 6. Tho news has been confirmed that the forces of Umra Khan have saptured Lieutenants Fowler and Edwards and nine Sepoys, near Mustuj Pass, immediately after the disaster to Lieutenant Ross' party, and that they were conveyed to iHanva, near Aliband, where they were well treated.
Dr Harrison, the British a?ent, and tlioChitral garrison arc safe, and are not pressed by the enemy. They have at present plenty of provisions.
It is officially announced that 10 British and three Sepoys were killed at the engagement at Malukund Pass, and 10 officers, 28 British, and 27 Sepoys wounded. (Received April 8,10.45 a.m.) Calcutta, April 7. News has been received that the first Chitral brigade entered Swat and drove back a force of five thousand natives, who barred the road. The guides corps and cavalry subsequently charged twelve hundred of the enemy, cutting up thirty of their number, the i-est (led to the hills. A large force of the enemy had collected at Thana, but they quietly dispersed when warned to do so.
