At a public meeting held in Ekelahumton Saturday night, when a committee of seven members were to be elected, the Chairman, Mr Mathnson, ruled that voters must vote for seven out of the eleven candidates. This ruling was disputed by several present, who claimed the right to vote for less than sever, if they wished to do so, but the Chairman decided to adhere to his decision. Tho costs allowed swallowed up the value of his intorest.
