Wairarapa Daily Times. [Established 1874.] WEDNESDAY, MARCH 27, 1895. THE LABOUR PARTY AND LOANS.

The advent ot the Labour Party in Colonial politics, is likely to prove tbe very reverse of a blessing to the working classes. Before this auspicious period, tbero were two parties, the " ins" and the " outs," and honorable warfare between them resulted in ranch useful and beneficial legislation. Five years ago, the New Zealand; Labour Party sold itself to tbe Liberals, and the term? of tlio salo, though not specified at the time, has been given to the public at each successive Session of Parliament. Another loan is a prominent feature, and our old and worthless friends Arbitration and Conciliation, Tho Labour section fattens on borrowed money; some of the leaders will jump into rosy billets, the rank and file ulti-; "lately finding its way into Soup kitchens and shelter sheds. Unless New South Wales manages very Mereptlyto New Zealand, theresuite bppd to be pretty much jtlfosamo, Tlio pftltyiespf New South Wal.es filiould be full.pf 'fnteppst to the people sftjjis Colony,
