FEATHERSTON ROAD BOARD.
(From Our Own Correspondent). A committee of tlio above Board consisting of Messrs Matthews (chairman), J. Donald and W, J. Nix, met on Saturday afternoon to open tenders as under For metal patching- between Greytown and the Black Bridge; repairing and metallinsr Woodside road ; metalling Western Lake road, about 30 chains. The tenders were as follows Contract 18, patching between Greytown and Black Bridge: M. Kerius, 2&AMper cubic yard; Wiggins and Gqptty, Is 9d per cubic yard; H. 11. Burgess, 2s 2d per cubic yard ; J. McGuiucss, Is 7d, (accepted). Contract No, 19, repairing Fea-therston-Tauherenikau road—2s 3d per cubic yard, 3s per chain for picking boulders, M. Kerins; 2s old per cubic yard, 3s 3d per chain picking boulders, W. R. Goodrick; Is ll|d per cubic yard, 5s per chain picking boulders, T. Lawry; Is lOd per cubic yard, 2s per chain for picking boulders, J. McGuinness (accepted).
Contract 20, Woodside-road—2s 4d per cubic yard, M. Kerins; 2s 3d per cubic yard, Wiggins and: Garratty; Is sld per cubic yard for 17 chains, E. Kelly; Is 4d per cubic yard for 3GO yards, E. Kelly (accepted), Contract 21, metalling Western Lake road, Is 9d per cubic yard for metalling, Ss 6d per chain for re-formation, ploughing sides of road, £2,E, Kelly Is 8d per chain for metalling, 1 Is per chaff for re-formation,2s 6d per chain fofPoughingsides of road,J.
