WAIRARAPA RACING CLUB. (From Our Own Correspondent). Featukrston, Monday. A meeting of stowards of tho WR.C. was held in tho Empire Iftie!, Featherstou, on Saturday tmrnioon. Present: Messrs W. E. Bidwill (chairman), Nix, Cuudy, Morrison, Bright, A. Wilkinson and G. Reynolds. Tho Treasurer's statement showed ft credit balance of £64 5s 6d, and accounts amounting to £8 14s Cd were passed for payment, Letters were received from Messrs Meudes and Fabian ro. the breaking of locks on the Moroa Course, the latter denying that he ever gave permission to Cooper to break his lock. Mr Catt attonded and explained the matter so far as he was concerned, and Mr Cooper, who broke the lock off is to be requested to attend the meeting of Stewards ou the Tauherenikau Course next Saturday afternoon, Vlib following tenders for the privileges were accepted: —Horse yuds, J. Crawford, £7 2s (id per dsF; grand stand luncheon boothleft in hands of the Secretary; gates Williams and Lawrie £sl 10s; afternoon tea tent, H. Cook, £ll'is. It was resolved that a meeting of Awards be held on Saturday next when Messrs Bright and Morrison will give a public trial of their starting machine at Tnuhcronikan. Mr Stewart was asked to draw plans and specifications of the new training track, and to submit tliein to the meeting on Saturday next. Three of the Stewards were told off to look after the bookmakers at the next races.
