THE OTAKI LICENSING CASE.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association). Wkimxgtox, Friday. The Otaki Licensing Case was concluded last night. At the conclusion of the applicant's case, Mr Gully asked the Bench to dismiss the application for the transfer of the license to Wereroa on the ground that it could only be dealt with at the annual meeting, and that the premises were incompetent, (Newmarket Licensing case.) The Chairman ruled that the objection was fatal, but the Bench refused to accept the ruling by a majority of one, Mr Gully insisted on the objection and ultimately the Bench decided to not grant the application, but passed a resolution by a majority of one that as at present advised, they recommended the grant ofaremoval.it the next annual meeting, This leaves the matter at large, the objectors not having yet made their case.
