THEATRE ROYAL.
BOXING EXHIBITION. A boxing exhibition gi ven ' last eveningat the Masterton Theatre Royal, by a number of leading amateurs, in aid of certain charitable objects, the Theatre being fairly well filled. Before proceedings Com' menced Mr C. A. Pownall explained that the enteuaroment 'would con sistof purely amateur boxing and ! not 11 fighting," and reqnegtSl the! audience to refrain from objection- i able remark^ An exeunt display of the noble , art, by. several more or less proficient ■ levers of the science, was thgn ] given, four round contests taking place between Messrs Dan Lea and • Ham.ltw,H.PerryandJ,.Caselberg 1 ' A. P. Whatman and W. Iggulden, and Pinkerton, T. Cress and W. Pisbr, H. Peny aud B. H. Eton, and B. P. Ginders and W. Iggnldfm, Mr A. P. Whatman acted as rfefdro'e, 1 several gentlemen assisting in. other ' directions. Messrs B. P. Ginders and T. D.
