Red Star club.
A meeting of the Club was held in the Empire Hotel hist ovening,bckeen thirty and forty members being present. The following new members were mianiniously elected :--Messrs Snlliviin, Pinkerton, Boyce, Knopps, Nicholson, Cameron, Reynolds, Karaitiana. The election of oOicers for the onsuing year resulted as follows: Patron, Me J. Welch; President,Mr A. Walker; vice-Presidents: Dr. Butcraent, Messrs \V. Dougall, J. ]j. Murray, E. G. Eton, J. Maude], 1), Pickering, Tucker, T. Thompson, W. 0. Cargill, 0. Wilton.C.A. Pownull; Captain, Mr J. Morris; vice-Cant.., Mr J, Emmett; Secretary, Mr F. Butoment, pro tern ■ Match' Committee : Messrs 11. Wrigley, Cochrane, and T. Wrigley; Delegates to Union; Messrs Norton, Jeffries, and Cochrane. A Committee consisting of Messrs Cargill, Jeffries, and Knopps was appointed to deal with the matter of ithe Park Oval. it was resolved to open the season with a scratch match on Saturday, | March 30th, A vote of thanks to the chair concluded the meeting.
