RIFLE SHOOTING.
WOODVILLE versus NORTH WAIRARAPA, Teams representing the Woodville Rille Club and the North Wairarapa Rillc Club, lived a friendly match at Lansdowne this morning. The visitors arrived in Masterton last evening, and leave by this afternoon's (ruin for Wellington. A start was made about 9 o'clock this morning, the weather being favourable to shooting, with a light breeze. Following are the scores|
Owing to the shortness of time, I l '. Williams, (}. and W. Loveday, J. J. Wilson, and J. Chicken, representing Woodville, and Messrs C. Auketell, Kibblowhite, Matthews, A. J. Cameron, and Kummer, representing North Wairarapa, were unable to finish firing at GOO yards, and will therefore lire at Trentliam. The shooting so far shows Musterton to be leading by six points. At HOOyds Woodville led by 3 ;nt 500 yds North Wairarapa picked up by 9, and this position was maintained. The match bids fair to be a very close one.
