MONTHLY MEETING. ' The ordinary monthly meeting of 1 tho Masterton Hospital Trustees 1 war. held yesterday afternoon in the j County Council Chambers. Present i Messrs'J. C. Boddington (chairman) • J. B. Keith, J. lorns, E. Feist, and ; Kev, Father McKenna, The minutes of last meeting were ' unci confirmed. The Treasurer reported a debit balance at date of £7 7s Id. Subsidy : would be due this month. The Pahiatua County Council fie stating that the fuuds of the nty are in such a condition that j cannot make the usual donation this year. Tho Hospital diary was read, Dr Hosking complaining that 0:1 one visit he found old drain pipes, reeking with filth, stacked up near the Hospital. The Secretary stated that the pipes had beon cleared away forthwith. , r The following accounts were passed for payment:—W.F.C. A., £5 19s ld;C. Hughes, £2l6s 6d; J. Wickens, £1 Ids; H.Jones, £1 2s lOd ;Mrs Cole, Bs. The report of patients showed that patients 7 were intheHospital at the beginning of the month, 6 being admitted and 1 discharged, leaving fl males and 3 females in the institution at date, The estimates for the coming year were read showing the estimated expenditure to be £BOS, and tbo estimated revenue £772, 'Ml® Chairman moved that the he sent to the District Board with tho intimation that the Trustees will not require to ask assistance. Mr Keith seconded and the motion was carried. . Mr W.H. Beethara wan appointed visiting member, and the Trustees went into Committee.
