MASTERTON A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.
ADJOURNED MEETING. J An adjourned meeting of tho Masterton A, and P. Association was held in the Club Hotel on Saturday, the President aud nine members attending.
Mr W. Lowes said he regretted he had been absent at last meeting, From what he had learned he understood that certain members had been appointed to undertake certain duties, but he had received no notice, as Secretary, from them. Mr McG regor said that he thought the Committee had been. appointed to ask Mr Lowes to take the oflice of President, 'l'hey might now ask him if he were agreeable to accept the office if the Show were made an autumn one. Mr Lowes said lie confessed he would much rather not take the oflice of President, and thought lie could be of more service to the Society as Secretary, but was quite williug to vacate tho Secretaryship if the Society could secure the services of someone able to devote the necessary time to the work. Meredith's contention that an Autumn Show would be the doom of the Society. Mr J. M. Meredith said he was not in favor of im Autumn Show. They could not show sheep in the wool or entires in the Autumn. Mr Lowes thought that sheep could be shown as well with half a fleece as a whole one on, He did not think they would lose much in the entire class, There were on the other hand many advantages, particularly as the Ram Fair could follow, and ho was convinced that other exhibitors from outside would send entries and give their support By cutting out a few classes they would gain largely in others. Mr J. M. Moredith moved that the meeting he adjourned till Saturday, March 23rd at 3 p.m. Mr 1. Sykes seconded and the
