LATEST PAHIATUA NEWS.
(By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) I'ahiatca, Friday. A meeting of the Land Board was held at Mangatainoka yesterday, to enquire into the circumstances attending ' the forfeiture of John Walther's section, and as to whether John Georgo Walthers had fulfilled bis conditions. Tbero were present, Messrs Baler, Hogg, Pirani, Fitzherbert and Fisher. After bearing the evidence, the Board resolved to uphold the cancellation of John Walther's interest, as tho residential conditions were not complied with, < and to offer the section weighted with improvements, With regard to Geo. Walther's case, the Board resolved to take no further action. A quantity of other business was transacted. MrG. H. Smith, appeared for llic Messrs Walthcrs.
At a meeting held at SearboJ&th, last evening, it was decided to eK a creamery. Sufficient cows aro sum to be guaranteed. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile arc the firm that tho settlers will join. A meeting of the Pabiatua Borough Council was held last evening; thero was only ordinary business.
