Mr and Mrs Seddon aud party arrived by the train at mid-day, aud were received by the Mayor, Borough Council, school children and band.lnthe evoningthe presentation took place, the Theatre being packed, and the Mayor in the Chair. Mr Seddon's speech was ' almost entirely of a personal nature, He referred to bis early public career in Westland, and afterwards in Wellington, and bore tribute to his old colleagues. At the conclusion cheers were given for Mr Seddon and his family.
