CHURCH MATTERS.
Sydney, March 8. Tho Presbyterian General Assembly bus adopted the report in favour of the establishment of a co-operative labour settlement, and formed a Committee to submit a scheme and inaugurate the movement. Only Presbyterians married and with families are to be admitted as members, and a board of control is to be chosen by the General Assembly. In view of the prevailing depression and with a desire to share the burdens of the adherents of the Church, tho Weslcyan Conference has adopted a recommendation to reduce the minimum allowances as follows Married men, to £SO per quarter;single men,£34 per quarter; probationers, £3O pur quarter.
