DISTINGUISHED VISITORS.

Mr. THOMAS SALT. H.S.H., PRINCE JOSEPH 01' BATTENBURG, (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Wi:i.lixi;tox, Wednesday. The Hauroto, which arrived from Sydney, this morning, brought seventy passengers for all ports, among the number being JI.S.H., Prince Francis Joseph of Battenburg, and suite, and Mr Thomas Salt, Chairman of the Midland Railway Company.

Prince Joseph of Batlenburg stays here for three days, then goes on to Auckland and joins the 'Frisco mail boat on the 23rd inst. He is accompanied by Colonel Townsend, of the Second Life Guards.
