New South Wales Politics.
(Received, March 6th, 11 a.m.) Sydney, March 6. Jn the Legislative Assembly, last night, Sir G. Dibbs' motion of want of confidence in the Government, was negatived by 66 votes to 27. The Labour Party voted solid for the Government. Although they were considerably dissatisfim with Mr Reid's policy, they coB! sidetcd that no better terms too obtainable from tho Opposition. Mr O'Sullivan's amendment censuring the Government for its treatment of the unemployed and tho reappoint' ment of Mr Eddy was negatived by 70 to 21. Mr William McCourt has been re-elected Chairman of Committees. Mr 0. N. Oliver has been appointed Deputy Chief Kailway Commissioner during Mr Eddy's absence, TheGovernmenthavo advised | the local option party that there will bo no time this session to introduce a Bill on the lines asked for securing full local option, but an opportunity will be given to introduce such a, measure next session.
