NORTH WAIRARAPA LIBERAL ASSOCIATION.
Tlie ordinary weekly meeting of the North Wairarapa Liberal Association was held on Monday evening, Mr T. E. Price presiding. Accounts as presented were passed for payment. A lengthy and earnest discussion took place on the question of" Ileligipi} in State Schools," and it was resolved "Thi>L meeting is of opinion that the intrqduptjon pf religious teaching into the publio school at Maaterton is calculated to | injuriously affect the system of secular education at present in vogue. This Association more particularly condemns the action of the Masterton School Committee for having granted permission j.o the Rev. A. C. Yorke, tp impart religious instruction in tbo school building after school bops.' l : At next meeting the questions of old age pensions, and the holding of Agricultural and Pastoral Shows in (Mastorton, will be discussed,.
