A SENSATIONAL JEWELLERY

SEIZURE.

(Received March 5,11.15 a.tn) Melbourne, March 5.

The Customs authorities hayo made a sensational seizure of jewellery on the premises of Kilpatrick and Co., Collins Street.

It was discovered they had been evading the Customs for a consider-1 able time. The whole of the : r large stock was seized, but was released upon the firmdcpositiiiffthrce thousand pounds as a guarantee that it would nut be removed. A fine cf three thousand was inflicted aud the firm ordered to pay a thousand pounds back duty.
