MEETING OF CREDITORS.
ESTATE OP J. N. URUNTON. The first meeting of the creditors in the estate of J. N. ISnmton, was held to-day, the D.O.A. (Mr W. B. Cheimells) presiding, The creditors present were Messrs C. Hughes, G. W, Woodrooife and It. Cockburn. The debtor was examined on oath, and stated that all the unsecured debts were incurred since 1890. He had received £97 9s out of a property on Lansdowne, out of this sum he had paid interest owing and sundry creditors. Of the money, £37 17s 6d borrowed from Mr Cockburn, part was for trade purposes and £lO was paid as deposit on another section at Lansdowne, which ho had subsequently lost through _ non-pay-ment of interest. His business paid for some years till lie was laid up with sickness both him and his men. He had to return deposits on orders and lost over £IOO of orders during a four month's sickness, Ho had been sued by Mr Hodgson, of Auckland, who got judgment for £l6 lGs fid and put the bailiff in. Ho had' spent £3O on Mr Woodrooffe's property besides tho deposit of £5, Interest was paid up till 14th Nov, last, The debtor could' make no offer to his creditor's. Tho D.O.A. stated that he had taken steps to dispose of the assots, and offer the debtor's interest in the section in Hall-street, for role. • The meeting then adjourned.' ,
