Mastektox, Monday, Messrs R, E, Hornbloiv & Co., auctioneers and produce morcliants, report as follows, for (bo week ending, Saturday, February 16th:-A large quantity of this season's oats JL are now 111 the market, and the great W bulk of samples aro of exceptional quality. Prices show a decline 011 our Inst week's quotations. Other lines remain at last quotations. Potatoes arc still plentiful, and a reduction in price is noticeable. Poultry is dull of sale. Fruit of every description, is slow of sale, \ oung pigs are in great demand, and we are able to quit every line offered, Grass seeds are attracting attention, and we liavo placed a considerable quantity during tho week. Horses aro fetching better prices, and wo have quite a number of enquiries for decent hacks. .Rabbit and sheepskins show a decline in price. Jn A* our land department, we have been T kept very busy, having received communications from no less than thirty-seven applicants during the week, four of which came from the 'South Island. The largest property we disposed of, being 500 acres in the Mauricevillc District, Oar wholesale produce prices, are as follows . Kggs, 10d per dozen; butter ad M per lb.
