RIFLE SHOOTING.

A friendly mutch was fired on Saturday, at the Masterton range, between teams of the North Wairarapa and Carterton Rifle Clubs, the home team winning by 4G points. The following are the individual scores

TROPHY FIRING. The trophy firing was included in the firing between Carterton and Masterton at the 300 and SOO yards, and tho local men continued their firing at 600 yards, A. Cameron making top score with 60 points, The following are the scores in the trophy firingA. Cameron, 60; McLacblan, 57; Anketell, 56; McHattie, 54 ;Kummer, 53; Matthews, 52; W.Welch, 51; Wardell, 50; Morgan, 47 ; Norton, 43; Cole, 33. MEETING OF SIKMItHKS, A mooting of the members of the North AVairarapa Rifle Club was held on .Saturday evening. Present, Messrs W. .1. Welch (chair), Kibblewbite, Matthews, A. J. Cameron, C. Hofliens, G. Anketell, G. Bentley, C. Wilton, and F, Kummer. Summer was allowed one extra firing for tho trophies at 500, GOO, and 700 yards, ranges to bo tired on Saturday March 2nd. A challenge was accepted from the Woodvillo Club to fire a friendly match at Masterton, on March 13th, 7 shots at 300,500, and 600 yards, the team for this match to be selected from tho following mombers:—Morgan, Kummer, Welch, C. Hoffiens, Matthews, Wardell, Kibblewhite, McHattie, McLacblan, Cameron'(ft), Anketell, Bentley, and Blane. The Secretary was instructed to arrangoa return match with tho Carterton Rifle Club ou March 9th. It was decided that tho trophy firing be continued every Saturday fvnm date. The Clul) decided on it pattern for the Club's uniform and arrangements, have been made with Mr J. L. Murray for supplying the same.'
