Sojik years ago when Sir Julius Vogel returned to New Zealand and offered to relieve it from the depression under which it then laboured, one of his specifics wis an exhibition at Wellington. On (bat occasion the charm did not act and now it is suggested that it should be tried again. It is a sort of thingtluit will do no great good and no considerable amount of harm. If Wellington shopkeepers and hotel-keepers arc prepared to give a liberal guarantee the thing can be done, but if the game be not worth the candle to them it had better be left alone.
