, A YOUNG MAN DROWNED. ! (By Telegraph.—Press Association) : Thames, Thursday. A young man named Denis Coni nolly, aged 24, was drowned this morning while crossing from the Piako river, with James Findlay, tolegraph lineman. The boat capsized and the two ■ men drifted about for 10 hours, but Connolly dropped of and was drowned, just as a relief party was approaching. Findlay displayed great bravery, and repeatedly risked his own life in endeavouring to save Connelly.
