A LONDON MYSTERY.

(Received February 13,10.20 a.m.) Loxnox, February 12. Edward John Ellis, a retrenched civil servant from Australia, has been found on the South Eastern Railway line near Spa Road. No ' money was on him. An occupant in the next carriage heard the window smashed and a sound like tlio crunching of gravel. The carnage door was open, but there were no signs of a struggle. When Ellis was found, he had one leg cut off and the foot of the other smashed, besides > injuries to his head, and lie died shortly after.
