The Barque Sarah Ridgway which has been wrecked on the Queensland Coast, was the vessel which caught lire whilst lying alongside the Napier wharf in October last. The ketch Stiathmore, which left here for llokitika 011 January 18th, returned to port 011 Saturday night. When off Cook Strait she met a series of very heavy gales, and lost nearly all lier sails and her steering gear. Being in a very perilous state llie Captain, at the request of (he crew shaped for Ihe nearest port, Napier, which was reached without further disaster.
