Mr Joe -Qnin arrived here from ' t'oolgardie last night. He left the ««ldlields 011 the 14th January last, arriving in Wellington by the Wakaiipu yesterday morning, after experiencing a very rough passage. In sin interview with him this morning iio stated that iio would not go through the same experience 011 a tjoldtield for all the gold in the country. His two mates Will Maigli and Fred Amos both died in thet/'oolgardie Hospital (which is a large tent). The former, who was recovering from typhoid fever, took a sudden turn for the worse, and i'.xpiied in two hours, but appeared conscious right up to the last. services in connection with the Woe- ' leyan Sunday School. The attendance was small in the morning in consequence of the wet -weather, but in the afternoon and evenincr good
congregations were present. His addrefko the scholars and discourses moOTiig and evening will be long remembered by both parents and tolara of the Presbyterian and slcyan Sunday Schools, and adult friends, and those who were absent missed a treat.
