LOWES AND lORNS' STOCK SALE REPORT.
Messrs Lowes audlorns held their usual fortnightly stock sale yesterday. The stock yarded, both in cattle and sheep, was largely in excess of the advertised entries. All classes of cattle were well represented, and the quality was exceptionally guod. About 4,000 sheep were yarded, and all sold, with the exception of one small pen of aged ewes. The prices of sheep ruled low, and were quite in sympathy with the times. A large number of horses were sold at low rates. The following were tho prices obtained: Fat steers, £6; forward steers, £5 10s to £slss; 3-year-old steers, £4 15s to £ll7s Gd; 2-year-old steers, 755; fat cows, 05s; 3-year-old heifors, in calf, 78s to 90s; dairy cows, 90s to 100s; yearlings, 425; calves, 17s to 255; over 200 head in all sold, Store wethers, 6s (id and 7s; small, 5s and 5s 6d ; small hogget ewes, 5s Id ; ewes, light, 6s; aged ewes, from 3s 9d to 4s 6d ; culls, Is 5d to 2s (id ; lambs, 9d for culls, to 4s 4d for shorn lambs. Pig s , stores, lis to 15s. Horse, trap and harness, £3O. Twelve hacks wero sold at from 35s for crocks to £7 for useful horses.
