(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Nelsox, Friday. At the Anglican Synod, the Bishop of Cliristchurch moved the second reading of a Bill to regulate matters connected with the offices of deaconesses. The Bishop of Dunedin seconded, the discussion lasting nearly two hours, tho tone generally favoring tho Bill, Archdeacon Williams moved as an amendment that the matter be referred to Diocesan Synods for consideration, to report at next Synod. The Bishop of Wellington seconded tho amendment, which was agreed to by Bishop Julius and carried.
