(Received February 8,10.45 a.m.) Sydney, February 8, Adeputation from the Temperanco bodies waited on the Minister of Justice to complain of the way the Licensing laws are administered. They alleged that all Stipendiary Magistrates leaned towards the liquor party, and their administration was a scandal and a disgrace. The wonder was the police attempted to enforce the Act, seeing the attitude adopted by the magistrates. The Minister said be was unwilling to believe the charges against the magistrates, and was satisfied tboy did their duty conscientiously. Tho deputation had misunderstood the 'position occupied by the magistracy, in asking for temperance appointments on the bench.
