MASTERTON RAM FAIR.
, LINCOLN'S. After we went to press, yesterday, tho sale was continued in Liucolns. Prices ranged up to 15 guineas, the principal vendors being Messrs Bannister Bras., Perry Bros., A. Walker, W. McKcnzio, J. Stuckey, F. W. Hales, J, Itayner, I). McMaster, E. Meredith, J. Maeara, J. Mackerscy, E. Mculovc, F. Moore, J. Colway, and A. Eeside. The principal buyers were Messrs Fred. Moore, F. W. Hales, G. Drummond, J. M. Meredith, Dr Hosking, C. Tully, J, Strang, McMaster, and others. Messrs Lowes and lorns report the total number of Lincoln rams sold by them at auction and privately, at yesterday's Fair, at 220, about half the number sold on the corresponding day last year, the top price being given for a ram bred by Perry Bros., which brought 15 guineas. Messrs Simms & Mowlcm report having sold all thoir lots privately, with the exception of fourstud rams, prices ranging as high as 10 guineas.
ROMXEvs. The second day of the Masterton Ram Pair was favoured with better weather, and again there was a fair attendance of buyers from all parts of the district, Bidding, however, was very backward, and a number of the first pens offered were passed in, Up to the time of our going to press only a limited number of tho lots more sold. A stud ram bred byMr C.J. Yorke, sold on account of MrH. H. Wolters, brought seven guineas, while a fine Romneyram lamb bred by Mr Wolters was sold at 2j guineas. Several flock rams I bred by Messrs Gray Bros., brought three guineas.
