Mr F. H. Wood hold liis usual fortnightly sale at the Taratahi Yards yesterday. Stockcnme forward in good numbers but the quality was hardly up to the last sale's standard. There was a large attendance, but bidding, especially for sheep was far from spirited, and several lines were passed in. There was better competition for cattle which all sold readily. Prices realised are quoted as under : Sheep : Lambs in the wool, 3s to 3s 7d; culls, 2s Id; shorn lambs, 2s to 3s; culled do, Is Id ; ewes, 3s to 3s lOd; fat eves, is lid to 6s 8d; wethers, Bs. Cattle: Calves, 19s to27s; heifers in calf, 60s to 70s; cows, aged, 40s to 60s ; 3-year-oldsteors, 93s Gd. Pigs: Weaners, 5s to 6s 6d ; breeding sows, young, 16s to 355. Horses: Only a fow changed hands and those at very low prices,
