Mariceville Road Board.
The ordinary meeting of the Mauriceville Road Board, was hold on Saturday, tlie 26th inst. Present —Messrs C. Forsberg (Chairman), , J, F. Heckler, and 0. Tait. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Correspondence was received from Mr C. Harris, requesting that Mr J. E. Deadman's name might be placed on the ratepayer's roll, as occupier /jf of Section 2, Block I, Kopuaranga, —Bequest granted. From the County Clerk, statement with reference to thirds from sections lately, transferred to this District. • From the same, desiring the Board to name a suitable person to, act as poundkeeper, in succession to Mr P. . Aadf reen, resigned.--It waB 1 deoided •to recommend Mr Hemminc; JfeSlsen for the .post. t'ropj. Jlr 'R. P. Greville, with
plan of road through section 78, Block I, Kopuarnngft. From Messrs Piatt, Petersen, and Cooper, requesting the Board to push forward the work of forming the extreme end of 1 Central Manganiahooßoad. -It was ; resolved to refer the matter to the Engineer. From Secretary to the Treasury, 1 \vith notice of interest (£lO6 Is Gd) 1 duo on (£4243 3s lid) loans, Tho Clerk was directed to call for tenders for contracts on the C. jMnngamiiboe Road, as soon as plans are ready, and the Chairman and MrHcckier wero appointed to open tho tenders. Tho Engineer roportcd the Ihu--1 raua Valley Road contracts were being finished in a very satisfactory manner. Instructions wero given, to prepare a list of defaulting ratepayers, to lay before next meeting of tho Board. Accounts, amounting to £50155, were passed for payment.
