WELLINGTON STOCK, HORSE, WOOL, AND PRODUCE MARKETS.

A. G. Tnine & Co. report on the markets for the week ending Jan. 25th:-■

Horses: We hold our weekly horse sale on Saturday. The entry, which was good, included a few medium draughts, and six good hacks and harness horses from Hawera, sired by such good horses as "Gipsy King," Foulshot, and Volunteer, which elicited good competition. We had a good sale all round, and sold of the Hawera lot, an upstanding four year old gelding for £25; another ; £lB 10s; and hacks at £l3 10s and £l2 10s; and a small cob mare for £ll 12s. We passed a very good back at £lB. We sold fairly good harness horses at £l3 10s and £11; aged sorts, £7, £7los, and £7lss; and a number of hacks from £5 to £6los.

Fat sheep: Market unchanged prime freezing wethers, 9s to 9s 6tl; fat owes, 6s to 7s 6d; fat lambs; 7s to 8s; store wethers, 2 and 4 tooth, 6s to 7s Gd; and 2 tooth mixed sexes, 5s to 6s 6d. Sheep market generally very depressed. Fat cattle: We quote prime bullock beef 17s in paddocks; store cattle, slackening in price a littlo, have sold all forward; store bullocks £4los to £5 ss; 2 year-olde £3 to £3 10s ; yearlings, 40s to 455; weaners, 23s to 28s.

Pigs: Keen demand. Good slips 10s to 13s; smaller sorts, 8s to 9s; baconers, 40s to 425. Wool.—The local wool sales took place on the 18th. Prices were a little firmer, We have some clips held over. For good light wool 6ld to 7d ; off colour and heavy 5H to 6d; bush stained 4d to 5d." We think bottom has now been reached, Grain: We quote good feed oats Is 7d to ls9d ; fowl wheat, only best lots in the market, price almost equal to milling,
